Trying My Patience

Things that make my patience wear thin

About

I'm not overly cynical or critical. The surrounding world just repeatedly fails to meet my standards and expectations.

People using the phrase “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” - you are trying my patience.

Who came up with this phrase?

A guy who just barely survived a cocaine OD?

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger? Come on!

Haven’t you ever heard of Alzheimer’s, herpes and leg amputation? They don’t kill you. And they certainly don’t make you stronger.

Maybe the expression was coined by a herpes-infected amputee with Alzheimer’s who couldn’t remember how good his life used to be?

  1. Well, the guy that almost OD’d coke probably felt much stronger for a little while anyway. And, the guy that has Alzheimers, probably can’t remember how strong he was or how weak he is now, so…

  2. Quite a few days now since something was trying your patience. Are you living a life in true harmony now??
