Yes, they need something to laugh at during them tender moments when they summarize how many they’ve managed to screw 43 ways from Sunday.

What they really mean:
“Here we’ve written two lines to ensure that no one can sue us for abuse of private integrity unless they really know what they’re talking about. In that case we’re screwed anyway unless they fall for the easiest trick in the book - stalling the legal process.”
